孔kǒng融róng四sì岁suì。爸bà爸bà拿ná来lái一yì盘pán梨lí。

Kong Rong was four. Father brought a plate of pears.

哥gē哥gē拿ná大dà的de，孔kǒng融róng拿ná最zuì小xiǎo的de。

His brothers took the big ones; Kong Rong took the smallest.

爸bà爸bà说shuō：你nǐ为什么wèi shén me拿ná小xiǎo的de？孔kǒng融róng说shuō：我wǒ小xiǎo，吃chī小xiǎo的de。

Why the small one? asked Father. I am small, he said, so I eat the small one.

大家dà jiā都dōu夸kuā孔kǒng融róng是shì好hǎo孩子hái zi。

Everyone praised Kong Rong.
