狐狸和葡萄

狐hú狸lí看见kàn jiàn架子jià zi上shàng有yǒu一yī串chuàn串chuàn葡萄pú tao，很hěn想xiǎng吃chī。

A fox saw bunches of grapes hanging from a trellis and wanted to eat them.

它tā跳tiào了liǎo好hào几jǐ次cì，都dōu够gòu不bù着zhuó。

It jumped again and again, but could not reach them.

它tā只好zhǐ hǎo走zǒu了liǎo，一边yī biān走zǒu一边yī biān说shuō：这zhè葡萄pú tao一定yī dìng是shì酸suān的de，不bù好吃hǎo chī！

It had to give up. As it walked away it said: 'Those grapes must be sour anyway - not good to eat!'

吃chī不到bù dào葡萄pú tao，就jìu说shuō葡萄pú tao酸suān。有些yǒu xiē人rén得děi不到bù dào，就jìu说shuō那nà东西dōng xi不bù好hào。

When it cannot have the grapes, it calls them sour. Some people who cannot get something claim it was never any good.
