老lǎo爷爷yé ye种zhòng了le一yí个gè萝卜luó bo。萝卜luó bo越yuè长cháng越yuè大dà，怎么zěn me也yě拔bá不bú动dòng。

An old grandpa planted a turnip. It grew bigger and bigger until nobody could pull it out.

老lǎo爷爷yé ye叫jiào来lái老lǎo奶奶nǎi nai一起yì qǐ拔bá，还是hái shi拔bá不bú动dòng。

Grandpa called Grandma to pull with him - still it would not move.

老lǎo奶奶nǎi nai叫jiào来lái小xiǎo孙女sūn nǚ，小xiǎo孙女sūn nǚ叫jiào来lái小xiǎo狗gǒu，小xiǎo狗gǒu叫jiào来lái小xiǎo猫māo，大家dà jiā排pái成chéng一yí队duì一起yì qǐ拔bá。

Grandma called the granddaughter, who called the dog, who called the cat, and they all pulled in a row.

「一yí二èr三sān，拔bá！」大dà萝卜luó bo终于zhōng yú拔bá出来chū lái了le。人rén多duō力量lì liang大dà。

'One, two, three - pull!' Out came the giant turnip. Many hands make light work.
