列子·纪昌学射

纪jì昌chāng拜bài飞fēi卫wèi学xué射shè箭jiàn。飞fēi卫wèi说shuō：先xiān学会xué huì不bù眨眼zhǎ yǎn。

Ji Chang apprenticed to Fei Wei. First lesson: learn not to blink.

纪jì昌chāng回家huí jiā躺tǎng在zài妻子qī zi的de织zhī布bù机jī下xià，眼看yǎn kàn梭suō子zǐ来回lái huí，两liǎng年nián练liàn得děi不bù眨眼zhǎ yǎn。飞fēi卫wèi说shuō：再zài学xué看kān——把bǎ小xiǎo东西dōng xi看成kàn chéng大dà的de。

He lay under his wife's loom watching shuttles for two years, unblinking. Fei Wei said: now learn to see, make the small look large.

纪jì昌chāng把bǎ虱shī子zǐ挂guà在zài窗户chuāng hu上shàng天天tiān tiān看kān，三sān年nián后hòu虱shī子zǐ在zài他tā眼里yǎn lǐ有yǒu车轮chē lún大dà，虱shī子zǐ中心zhōng xīn成chéng了liǎo靶bǎ心xīn。射shè过去guò qù，虱shī子zǐ掉diào了liǎo，挂guà虱shī子zǐ的de牛niú毛máo没méi断duàn。

He hung a louse at the window and watched it daily, three years on, the louse looked wheel-sized, its centre a target. He shot, the louse fell, the ox-hair it hung on was uncut.

飞fēi卫wèi这zhè才cái说shuō：你nǐ学xué成chéng了liǎo。眼yǎn力lì练liàn到dào微观wēi guān处chù，箭jiàn才能cái néng中zhōng。

Fei Wei said: you've learned. See the small as large, and the arrow finds its mark.
