佝偻丈人承蜩

孔kǒng子zǐ见jiàn一yī个gè驼tuó背bèi老人lǎo rén拿ná长cháng竿gān粘zhān蝉chán，一yī粘zhān一yī个gè准zhǔn，像xiàng在zài地上dì shang捡jiǎn一样yī yàng。

Confucius saw a hunchback catching cicadas on a long pole, never missing, as if picking them off the ground.

孔kǒng子zǐ问wèn他tā有yǒu什么shén me巧qiǎo。老人lǎo rén说shuō：我wǒ练liàn了liǎo五wǔ六liù个gè月yuè，竿gān上shàng叠dié两liǎng个gè丸wán子zǐ不bù掉diào，粘zhān蝉chán就jiù有yǒu把握bǎ wò了liǎo；叠dié三sān个gè不bù掉diào，十shí次cì失手shī shǒu一yī次cì；叠dié五wǔ个gè不bù掉diào，就jiù像xiàng捡jiǎn了liǎo。

His method? Five or six months balancing two pellets on the pole, steady enough to catch; three pellets, one miss in ten; five, like picking them up.

我wǒ站zhàn着zhuó像xiàng根gēn断duàn木mù，胳膊gē bo像xiàng枯kū树枝shù zhī——天地tiān dì万物wàn wù再zài多duō，我wǒ只zhī知道zhī dào蝉chán的de翅膀chì bǎng。

I stand like a dead stump, arms like dry branches, in all the world I know only cicada wings.

孔kǒng子zǐ对duì弟子dì zǐ说shuō：用心yòng xīn专zhuān一yī，神shén通tōng就jiù来lái了liǎo——说shuō的de就是jiù shì这zhè位wèi驼tuó背bèi老人lǎo rén。

Confucius told his students: concentrated will is the skill, that hunchback proves it.
