Different wording The two terms share 价比 in their simplified forms but are different words. In Taiwan the standard term is 價效比; on the Mainland it is 性价比 - both point at “cost-performance ratio”.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Education dictionaries record 價效比、性價比 for this concept. The Mainland standard is among them - the difference is which form each side makes the default.
性价比 is HSK 7-9 vocabulary on the HSK 3.0 list.
