唇亡齿寒

晋jìn国guó想xiǎng攻gōng打dǎ虢guó国guó，要yào经过jīng guò虞yú国guó，就jìu送给sòng gěi虞yú公gōng很hěn多duō宝bǎo马mǎ和hé美měi玉yù，想xiǎng借jiè路lù。

Jin wanted to attack Guo but had to pass through Yu, so it sent Duke Yu fine horses and jades to borrow the road.

宫gōng之zhī奇qí劝quàn虞yú公gōng说shuō：虢guó国guó和hé虞yú国guó，就jìu像xiàng嘴唇zuǐ chún和hé牙齿yá chǐ。嘴唇zuǐ chún没有méi yǒu了liǎo，牙齿yá chǐ就jìu会huì觉得jué de冷lěng。

Gong Zhiqi warned the duke: 'Guo and Yu are like lips and teeth, without the lips, the teeth grow cold.'

虞yú公gōng不bù听tīng，还是hái shi借jiè路lù给gěi晋jìn国guó。

The duke would not listen and lent Jin the road.

晋jìn国guó灭miè了liǎo虢guó国guó以后yǐ hòu，回来huí lai的de路上lù shang，顺便shùn biàn把bǎ虞yú国guó也yě灭miè了liǎo。

Jin destroyed Guo, and on the way home destroyed Yu as well.
