破釜沉舟

秦qín朝cháo末mò年nián，项xiàng羽yǔ带dài兵bīng去qù救jìu赵zhào国guó。

At the end of the Qin dynasty, Xiang Yu led his troops to rescue the state of Zhao.

过guo河hé以后yǐ hòu，他tā命令mìng lìng士兵shì bīng：把bǎ船chuán凿záo沉chén，把bǎ锅guō砸zá破pò，每měi人rén只zhī带dài三sān天tiān的de粮食liáng shi！

After crossing the river, he ordered his soldiers: 'Sink the boats, smash the cooking pots - each man carries only three days of rations!'

大家dà jiā明白míng bai了liǎo：没有méi yǒu退tuì路lù，只有zhǐ yǒu向前xiàng qián，才能cái néng活huó下来xià lai。

Everyone understood: with no way back, the only way to survive was forward.

士兵shì bīng们men以yǐ一yī当dàng十shí，勇敢yǒng gǎn作战zuò zhàn，九jǐu战zhàn九jǐu胜shèng，大dà败bài秦qín军jūn。

Each soldier fought like ten. Brave in battle, they won nine victories out of nine and crushed the Qin army.
