闻鸡起舞

晋jìn朝cháo的de时候shí hou，祖zǔ逖tì和hé刘liú琨kūn是shì最好zuì hǎo的de朋友péng you，他们tā men都dōu希望xī wàng为wéi国家guó jiā做zuò大事dà shì。

In the Jin dynasty, Zu Ti and Liu Kun were the best of friends; both hoped to do great things for their country.

他们tā men睡shuì在zài一yī张zhāng床chuáng上shàng，半夜bàn yè听到tīng dào鸡jī叫jiào，就jìu起床qǐ chuáng练liàn剑jiàn。

They slept in the same bed, and when the rooster crowed at midnight they rose to practise swordplay.

冬dōng去qù春chūn来lái，寒hán来lái暑shǔ往wǎng，他们tā men从来cóng lái没有méi yǒu停止tíng zhǐ过guo。

Winter gave way to spring, cold to heat, they never stopped.

后来hòu lái，他们tā men都dōu成chéng了liǎo有名yǒu míng的de将军jiāng jūn。

Later, both became famous generals.
