小马过河

小xiǎo马mǎ要yào过guo河hé，不知bù zhī道dào水shuǐ深shēn水shuǐ浅qiǎn。

A colt needed to cross the river but didn't know if it was deep or shallow.

老lǎo牛níu说shuō：水shuǐ很hěn浅qiǎn，刚gāng到dào小腿xiǎo tuǐ。松sōng鼠shǔ说shuō：深shēn得děi很hěn，昨天zuó tiān还huán淹yān死sǐ了liǎo我wǒ的de伙伴huǒ bàn！

'It's shallow,' said the old ox, 'barely up to your legs.' 'Deep!' said the squirrel, 'it drowned my friend yesterday!'

小xiǎo马mǎ不知bù zhī道dào听tīng谁shéi的de，回去huí qu问wèn妈mā妈mā。

The colt didn't know whom to believe and went home to ask its mother.

妈mā妈mā说shuō：你nǐ自己zì jǐ去qù试shì一yī试shì，就jìu知道zhī dào了liǎo。

Mother said: 'Try it yourself and you'll know.'

小xiǎo马mǎ小心xiǎo xīn地dì过guo了liǎo河hé。原来yuán lái河hé水shuǐ不bù深shēn也yě不bù浅qiǎn。

The colt crossed carefully, the river was neither deep nor shallow.

别人bié ren的话de huà要yào听tīng，但是dàn shì很hěn多duō事shì，要yào自己zì jǐ试shì一yī试shì才cái知道zhī dào。
