小马过河

小xiǎo马mǎ要yào驮tuó麦mài子zǐ过guò河hé，不知bù zhī道dào水shuǐ有yǒu多duō深shēn。

A little horse needed to carry wheat across the river but didn't know its depth.

老lǎo牛niú说shuō：水shuǐ很hěn浅qiǎn，刚gāng没méi过guò腿tuǐ。松sōng鼠shǔ说shuō：水shuǐ很hěn深shēn，我wǒ的de伙伴huǒ bàn昨天zuó tiān就jiù淹yān死sǐ了le。

The ox said: shallow, barely up to your legs. The squirrel said: deep, my friend drowned there yesterday.

小xiǎo马mǎ回去huí qu问wèn妈妈mā ma。妈妈mā ma说shuō：河hé水shuǐ是shì深shēn是shì浅qiǎn，你nǐ试shì试shì就jiù知道zhī dào了le。

The colt went home to ask his mother. She said: deep or shallow, try it and you'll know.

小xiǎo马mǎ小心xiǎo xīn地de走进zǒu jìn河hé里lǐ，水shuǐ不bù深shēn也yě不bù浅qiǎn，刚好gāng hǎo到dào肚子dù zi。他tā驮tuó着zhe麦mài子zǐ过guò了le河hé。别人bié ren的话de huà要yào听tīng，自己zì jǐ的de事shì还要hái yào自己zì jǐ试shì。

He stepped in carefully: neither deep nor shallow, just up to his belly. He crossed with the wheat. Listen to others, but test things yourself.
