山shān上shàng有yǒu个gè泉quán水shuǐ，长cháng发fā的de姑娘gū niang发现fā xiàn了le泉quán眼yǎn，妖怪yāo guài不许bù xǔ她tā说shuō出去chū qù，不然bù rán就jiù害hài死sǐ全quán村cūn人rén。

Long-haired girl found the hidden spring that fed the mountain, but the demon forbade her to tell on pain of the village's ruin.

泉quán水shuǐ越来越yuè lái yuè少shǎo，村cūn里lǐ人rén快要kuài yào渴kě死sǐ了le。长cháng发fā妹mèi偷偷tōu tōu把bǎ泉quán眼yǎn告诉gào su了le大家dà jiā。

The water dwindled; the villagers neared thirst. She told them the secret.

妖怪yāo guài来lái抓zhuā她tā，要yào把bǎ她tā扔rēng进jìn山shān涧jiàn。山shān泉quán边biān的de老lǎo榕róng树shù变成biàn chéng了le老人lǎo rén救jiù了le她tā。

The demon came to throw her into the ravine, and the old banyan by the spring became an old man and saved her.

从此cóng cǐ泉quán水shuǐ又yòu流liú了le出来chū lái，村cūn里lǐ再也zài yě不bù缺quē水shuǐ了le。

The spring flowed again, and the village never lacked water.
