寒号鸟

冬天dōng tiān到dào了le，喜xǐ鹊què忙máng着zhe做zuò窝wō，寒hán号hào鸟niǎo却què只zhǐ知道zhī dào玩wán。

Winter came. The magpie busied itself building a nest, but the winter-crying bird only played.

夜里yè li很hěn冷lěng，寒hán号hào鸟niǎo说shuō：明天míng tiān我wǒ就jiù垒lěi窝wō！

The nights were cold. 'Tomorrow I'll build my nest!' it said.

第dì二èr天tiān，太阳tài yang出来chū lái了le，它tā又yòu忘wàng了le垒lěi窝wō，继续jì xù玩wán。

The next day the sun came out, and it forgot all about the nest and played on.

就jiù这样zhè yàng一yì天tiān又yòu一yì天tiān，它tā一直yì zhí没有méi yǒu垒lěi窝wō。

Day after day went by like this, and the nest never got built.

最后zuì hòu，在zài一yí个gè寒冷hán lěng的de夜里yè li，寒hán号hào鸟niǎo冻dòng死sǐ在zài了le岩yán缝fèng里lǐ。

Finally, one freezing night, the winter-crying bird froze to death in a crack in the rocks.
