井底之蛙

一yī只zhī青蛙qīng wā住zhù在zài井jǐng里lǐ。它tā对duì来自lái zì东dōng海hǎi的de鳖biē说shuō：我wǒ快乐kuài lè极jí了liǎo！我wǒ可以kě yǐ在zài井jǐng里lǐ跳tiào，也yě可以kě yǐ在zài井jǐng边biān休息xīu xi。

A frog lived in a well. To a turtle from the Eastern Sea it said: I am so happy! I can hop in the well and rest at its edge.

鳖biē告诉gào su青蛙qīng wā：大海dà hǎi有yǒu几jǐ千qiān公里gōng lǐ宽kuān，十shí年nián的de水灾shuǐ zāi，也yě不bù会huì让ràng海hǎi变biàn深shēn；十shí年nián的de旱灾hàn zāi，也yě不bù会huì让ràng海hǎi变biàn浅qiǎn。

The turtle told the frog: the sea is thousands of li wide; ten years of flood will not deepen it, ten years of drought will not shallow it.

青蛙qīng wā听tīng了liǎo，惊讶jīng yà得děi说shuō不bù出chū话huà来lái。

The frog listened, too astonished to speak.

住zhù在zài井jǐng里lǐ，看到kàn dào的de天空tiān kōng只有zhǐ yǒu井jǐng口kǒu那么nà me大dà。走zǒu出去chū qù，才cái知道zhī dào世界shì jiè有yǒu多duō大dà。

Living in a well, the sky you see is only as wide as its mouth. Step outside and you learn how big the world is.
