猎人海力布

猎人liè rén海hǎi力lì布bù救jiù了le一yì条tiáo小xiǎo白bái蛇shé，是shì龙lóng王wáng的de女儿nǚ ér。龙lóng王wáng送sòng他tā一yì颗kē宝石bǎo shí，含hán着zhe宝石bǎo shí能néng听tīng懂dǒng动物dòng wù的话de huà，可是kě shì说shuō出去chū qù就jiù会huì变成biàn chéng石头shí tou。

The hunter Hailibu saved a little white snake, the Dragon King's daughter, and was given a gem that let him understand animals, on pain of turning to stone if he told.

一yì天tiān海hǎi力lì布bù听见tīng jiàn鸟niǎo儿ér说shuō：今jīn晚wǎn山shān洪hóng要yào来lái，村cūn子zǐ要yào淹yān了le。

One day he heard birds warn: tonight a flood will drown the village.

他tā跑pǎo回去huí qu劝quàn乡亲xiāng qīn们men搬家bān jiā，大家dà jiā都dōu不bú信xìn。海hǎi力lì布bù没有méi yǒu办法bàn fǎ，说shuō出chū了le实shí情qíng。

He begged the villagers to flee; they wouldn't believe him. He told them the secret.

话huà刚gāng说shuō完wán，他tā就jiù变成biàn chéng了le石头shí tou。乡亲xiāng qīn们men搬bān走zǒu了le，躲duǒ过guò洪水hóng shuǐ，从此cóng cǐ把bǎ石头shí tou海hǎi力lì布bù供gōng起来qǐ lai纪念jì niàn他tā。

The moment the words left his lips, he became stone. The villagers fled the flood and raised a shrine to the stone that had been Hailibu.
