迟到的生日礼物

李lǐ娜nà的de生日shēng rì已经yǐ jīng过去guò qù三sān天tiān了liǎo，可是kě shì她tā最好zuì hǎo的de朋友péng you王wáng芳fāng一直yī zhí没有méi yǒu送礼sòng lǐ物wù。

Li Na's birthday had passed three days ago, but her best friend Wang Fang had still given no gift.

李lǐ娜nà心里xīn li有yǒu点diǎn难过nán guò。她tā想xiǎng：是不是shì bù shì王wáng芳fāng忘记wàng jì了liǎo？还是hái shi她tā根本gēn běn没有méi yǒu把bǎ我wǒ当dàng朋友péng you？

Li Na felt a little hurt. Had Wang Fang forgotten? Did she not see her as a friend?

On Friday afternoon Wang Fang suddenly stopped Li Na and handed her a paper bag, embarrassed: sorry the gift is late.

Inside was a hand-knitted scarf, in the sky blue Li Na loved most.

王wáng芳fāng说shuō：我wǒ跟gēn着zhuó视频shì pín学xué了liǎo两liǎng个gè星期xīng qī，拆chāi了liǎo三sān次cì才cái织zhī好hào。本来běn lái想xiǎng生日shēng rì那nà天tiān给gěi你nǐ的de，可是kě shì那nà天tiān还huán差chà最后zuì hòu一yī点diǎn没méi织zhī完wán。

Wang Fang said: I learned from videos for two weeks and undid it three times. I wanted to give it on your birthday, but the last bit was not done.

李lǐ娜nà摸mō着zhuó软ruǎn软ruǎn的de围巾wéi jīn，心里xīn li暖nuǎn暖nuǎn的de。她tā说shuō：这zhè是shì我wǒ收到shōu dào的de最好zuì hǎo的de礼物lǐ wù。

Li Na stroked the soft scarf, warm inside. This is the best gift I have ever received, she said.

那nà天tiān晚上wǎn shang，王wáng芳fāng在zài网上wǎng shàng找zhǎo织zhī围巾wéi jīn的de视频shì pín，学xué了liǎo整整zhěng zhěng两liǎng个gè小时xiǎo shí。她tā想xiǎng：李lǐ娜nà的de生日shēng rì快kuài到dào了liǎo，我wǒ要yào织zhī一yī条tiáo围巾wéi jīn送给sòng gěi她tā。

That night Wang Fang spent two hours on knitting videos, thinking: Li Na's birthday is coming; I'll knit her a scarf.

李lǐ娜nà听tīng完wán，一下子yī xià zi明白míng bai了liǎo这zhè几jǐ天tiān王wáng芳fāng为什么wèi shén me总是zǒng shì一yī个人gè rén走zǒu，心里xīn li又yòu惭愧cán kuì又yòu感动gǎn dòng。

Hearing this, Li Na understood at once why Wang Fang had left alone these days, and felt both ashamed and moved.

回家huí jiā的de路上lù shang她tā想xiǎng：真正zhēn zhèng的de朋友péng you，不一定bù yī dìng记得jì de每měi一yī个gè日子rì zi，但是dàn shì一定yī dìng会huì把bǎ你nǐ放fàng在zài心xīn上shàng。

Walking home she thought: a true friend may not remember every date, but will always keep you in their heart.
