孔融让梨

孔kǒng融róng家jiā兄弟xiōng dì七qī个gè，分fēn梨lí吃chī。

Seven brothers in Kong Rong's family shared pears.

孔kǒng融róng四sì岁suì，挑tiāo了le一yí个gè最zuì小xiǎo的de梨lí。

Four-year-old Kong Rong took the smallest.

父亲fù qīn问wèn他tā为什么wèi shén me不bù拿ná大dà的de，他tā说shuō：我wǒ小xiǎo，应该yīng gāi吃chī小xiǎo的de，哥哥gē ge们men比bǐ我wǒ大dà，吃chī大dà的de。

Asked why not the big one, he said: I'm small, small pears for small boys; my brothers are older, they take the big.

又yòu问wèn：弟弟dì di比bǐ你nǐ还hái小xiǎo，梨lí应该yīng gāi比bǐ你nǐ的de还hái小xiǎo，你nǐ怎么zěn me不bù给gěi弟弟dì di？孔kǒng融róng说shuō：弟弟dì di小xiǎo，我wǒ是shì哥哥gē ge，应该yīng gāi让ràng他tā。

Asked further: your little brother is smaller, why not give him yours? He said: he's little, I'm his elder, I should yield to him.
