鲁班造锯

鲁lǔ班bān上shàng山shān砍kǎn树shù，手shǒu被bèi一yì种zhǒng野yě草cǎo的de叶子yè zi划huá破pò了le。

On the mountain Lu Ban's hand was cut by a blade of wild grass.

他tā拿ná起qǐ叶子yè zi一yí看kàn，叶子yè zi边biān上shàng全quán是shì小xiǎo齿chǐ。他tā又yòu看见kàn jiàn蝗huáng虫chóng的de大dà牙yá也yě是shì一yì排pái小xiǎo齿chǐ，能néng咬yǎo断duàn叶子yè zi。

Looking closer he saw the leaf's edge lined with fine teeth, and a locust's jaws were toothed the same way.

鲁lǔ班bān想xiǎng：做zuò一yì条tiáo带dài齿chǐ的de铁tiě片piàn，不bú就jiù能néng割gē树shù了le？

He thought: an iron strip with teeth could cut wood.

他tā打dǎ出chū第dì一yī把bǎ锯jù子zǐ，一yì拉lā一yì推tuī，树shù很hěn快kuài就jiù断duàn了le。从cóng一yí片piàn草cǎo叶xié上学shàng xué来lái的de本事běn shi，改变gǎi biàn了le几jǐ千qiān年nián的de木mù工gōng。

He forged the first saw; push-pull, and the tree was down. Learned from a blade of grass, it changed carpentry for millennia.
