小蝌蚪找妈妈

池塘chí táng里lǐ有yǒu一yī群qún小xiǎo蝌kē蚪dǒu，大大dà dà的de脑袋nǎo dai，黑hēi灰色huī sè的de身子shēn zi。

In the pond lived a school of tadpoles, with big heads and dark grey bodies.

它们tā men想xiǎng找zhǎo妈mā妈mā。看见kàn jiàn鲤lǐ鱼yú妈mā妈mā，就jìu问wèn：我们wǒ men的de妈mā妈mā在zài哪里nǎ lǐ？

They wanted to find their mother. Seeing Mother Carp, they asked: 'Where is our mother?'

鲤lǐ鱼yú说shuō：你们nǐ men的de妈mā妈mā有yǒu四sì条tiáo腿tuǐ，到dào前面qián miàn去qù找zhǎo吧ba。

The carp said: 'Your mother has four legs, look further on.'

小xiǎo蝌kē蚪dǒu游yóu啊ā游yóu，长zhǎng出chū了liǎo两liǎng条tiáo后hòu腿tuǐ，又yòu长zhǎng出chū了liǎo前qián腿tuǐ。

The tadpoles swam and swam; two hind legs grew out, then front legs.

它们tā men终于zhōng yú找到zhǎo dào了liǎo青蛙qīng wā妈mā妈mā。原来yuán lái自己zì jǐ一yī天天tiān tiān在zài长大zhǎng dà。

At last they found Mother Frog, and realised they had been growing all along.
